About This Experience

A hands-on fresh pasta class at your house: a chef teaches the group to mix, knead, roll and shape pasta from scratch, then you eat it together.

A pasta class suits a rented house with a big kitchen table. The chef brings flour, eggs, fillings, pasta machines and boards, and clamps the machines to your table. Each guest mixes and kneads their own dough, rolls it out and cuts it, and at the end the chef cooks a batch on the house hob so the class runs straight into a meal.

  • Birthday Weekends
  • Corporate Retreats

  • Hen parties wanting an activity that doubles as dinner
  • Family reunions and mixed-age groups

  • Houses with a large kitchen table or dining room

How the Experience Works

Check whether this experience takes place at your accommodation or at a separate venue before arranging your day.

  1. The chef arrives, sets up stations and clamps pasta machines to the table
  2. Everyone makes their own dough from flour and eggs
  3. Dough is rolled, folded and fed through the machines
  4. Guests cut long pasta, then fill and shape a second shape
  5. The chef cooks the pasta with a simple sauce for the group to eat
  6. Session duration: 2–3 hours including eating

Perfect for Group Celebrations and Corporate Retreats

Pasta making is relaxed and sociable, which is why it suits hen parties, birthday weekends, family reunions and corporate away-days. Everyone works at their own station, then the group compares whose ravioli held together. It works for mixed ages, and a glass of wine while you knead is entirely optional.

Why Add This Experience to Your Group Stay?

A pasta class takes care of dinner and the evening's entertainment in one booking, which saves finding a restaurant table for a large group. Start with a prosecco reception or a gin tasting, and finish with karaoke or games. Chefs cover most of the UK; for rural houses, travel is shown as its own line on your quote.

Choose accommodation that fits your group, such as a party house, a house with a hot tub, or a country home. Confirm the experience location separately, as some activities take place at a venue rather than at the house.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our pasta making class experience

How much does a pasta making class at our house cost?

Prices are £60 per person for 8 to 12 guests, £58 per person for 13 to 16 guests and £55 per person for 17 to 20 guests. The price includes VAT and our arrangement fee. A 20% deposit secures the booking once the chef confirms, and the balance is taken before the event, not on the day. If your house is rural, travel is shown as its own line on the quote.

Can you cater for vegans or gluten-free guests?

Egg-free dough can usually be made for vegans. Gluten-free is harder: a pasta class puts a lot of flour in the air, so it is not suitable for anyone with coeliac disease. Tell us about dietary needs when you enquire and we will confirm what the chef can do.

What space do we need?

A large table or tables with straight edges, because the pasta machines clamp on, plus use of the hob and a big pan at the end. A kitchen with an island or a long dining table works well.

Can we drink during the class?

Yes, most groups have wine or prosecco on the go. Drinks are not included, so bring your own.

How far ahead should we book?

Four to six weeks for a weekend, and earlier for summer and December.
