Positioned adjacent to the calm waters of Darwin Lake, Hardwick cottage enjoys some of the best positioning available at Darwin Lake. Recently refurbished by our interior designer with modern décor, this cottage is perfect for larger families or groups. On the ground floor of the cottage, the large, open-plan kitchen and dining area comes equipped with a large dining table designed to seat eight and all the appliances you could need during your stay – including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and an electric oven and hob. There’s also a CD player and stereo. On the other side of the hallway, the spacious lounge area comes with an LCD TV and comfortable seating – making it the perfect space for unwinding in. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. These consist of one double, one twin and one family room with a single bed. Two of the bedrooms include contemporary ensuites, whilst there is also a separate bathroom. The master bedroom also features a modern television. The first floor is a real highlight of Hardwick cottage. Not only have the bedrooms recently been upgraded with modern furnishings, they also look out over Darwin Lake itself. What better view to wake up to in the morning? Tucked alongside Darwin Lake, Hardwick is next to another of our cottages, Kedleston. You could book both out, plus more cottages in the village, for a large group break. This is worth bearing in mind if you’re coming to stay with us as a larger group, as you could book both out. With our private woodland on one side and the water on another, you’ll really feel immersed in nature when you stay here. The cottage is also just a stone’s throw away from Darwin Hall and all the walks our surrounding grounds offer.
