The conversion has been finished to a high standard throughout, with a luxury fit-out, underfloor heating and travertine tiles, giving a comfortable, contemporary feel within the character of the original building.
For a group taking the whole house, there is a hot tub, sauna, pool table, table tennis, tennis court and full Sky TV.
The surrounding scenery is the reason people come. The estate is private and quiet, and the setting suits walking, cycling, watersports, fishing, stalking and golf. Despite feeling remote, it is only about an hour and a half from Glasgow.
The Old Barn works equally well for corporate or private functions, self-catering or fully catered, for weeks or for weekends. A ground-level two bedroom Garden Cottage is available alongside for up to 8 additional guests, and the neighbouring Ormidale House and Mill House can be booked together for larger gatherings of up to 75.
