Large Holiday Homes with a Swimming Pool: Check the Pool Details
“Pool” covers more than you might expect, so read the pool paragraph on each listing before you book. Some pools are indoors and don't depend on the weather; outdoor pools usually have a season, and the listing should say when. Arrangements differ too: Model Farm Country House in Somerset has a 20-metre natural swimming pond rather than a treated pool, and Tre-Vern in Herefordshire offers its indoor heated pool in exclusive daily sessions. What Counts as a Games Room Here
We use the same rule as our games room page: the owner lists a games room, a pool table or table tennis. That covers everything from a converted barn full of games to a pool table in a second lounge. If darts, snooker, a games console or arcade machines matter to your group, check the facilities list or ask the owner.
Pool Safety and House Rules
Swimming at a rented house is unsupervised, and every owner sets their own pool rules, such as opening hours, no glass by the water and no swimming after drinking. When to Book
