About Bannerrigg
Bannerrigg is the fifth and last house on The Terrace, a Grade II listed row designed by Augustus Pugin. It sleeps 16 across five bedrooms. Windermere station and the village are a couple of minutes' walk away, downhill.
The lounge seats all 16 on leather Chesterfield sofas around an open fire, with a 50-inch Smart TV. The dining room has an oak table for up to 20, with stone mullioned windows on two sides. The farmhouse kitchen has a 3-oven AGA plus a Belling range cooker, an American fridge freezer with ice maker, a second fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a breakfast table for 8. Washing machine and tumble dryer are in the utility room.
Down in the cellar there's an 18-seat cinema with a 75-inch Smart TV and soundbar.
BEDROOMS Every bed at Bannerrigg is a single, and every bedroom has a TV. - Bedroom 1 (first floor): 3 singles, en-suite shower room - Bedroom 2 (first floor): 4 singles, en-suite shower room - Bedroom 3 (first floor): 3 singles, uses the family bathroom (shower over bath) - Bedroom 4 (second floor): 4 singles - Bedroom 5 (second floor): 2 singles Bedrooms 4 and 5 share the second-floor shower room. There's also a toilet downstairs.
OUTSIDE The 7-seat hot tub has its own stone-built building. The enclosed rear garden is dog-safe, with a large raised slate patio, a teak table for 16 and a charcoal barbecue (April to October). Parking for 8 cars, and Bannerrigg has its own EV charger.
GOOD TO KNOW - Logs for the open fire supplied October to April - Up to 4 dogs welcome, £30 each - 2 travel cots and 2 high chairs - Check-in 4pm, check-out 10am. Monday and Friday starts - No ground-floor bedroom and stairs throughout, so it's unlikely to suit wheelchair users - Bigger group? All five houses on The Terrace together sleep 71
