HOE PARK HOUSE Hoe Park House is a spacious and characterful Victorian townhouse beside Plymouth Hoe, offering a stylish and comfortable base for groups of up to 10. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac between scenic Hoe Park and the historic Barbican, the house gives you the best of both worlds: peaceful surroundings with Plymouth's waterfront, restaurants, pubs, cafés, theatres and attractions just a short walk away. Spread across four floors, there is plenty of room for everyone to stay together without feeling on top of one another. Four large bedrooms, two generous reception areas and a spacious open-plan kitchen-diner make Hoe Park House particularly well suited to families, groups of friends, multi-generational stays, golf and fishing groups, wedding guests and colleagues travelling together. SPACE TO BE TOGETHER The bright double reception room has high Regency ceilings, a bay window, reclaimed wooden floors and original Victorian pocket doors connecting the two sitting areas. Three comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, Bose Bluetooth soundbar, books and games provide plenty of space for relaxing and socialising. The second sitting room can also be converted into a private fifth sleeping room with a comfortable double sofa bed. The original sliding doors allow the room to be closed off from the main sitting room, and a ground-floor family bathroom is conveniently nearby. COOK, DINE & SOCIALISE The large open-plan kitchen-diner is the heart of the house and one of our guests' favourite spaces. The dining table seats 10, so the whole group can eat together. The exceptionally well-equipped kitchen includes quartz worktops, two fridge-freezers, an induction hob, microwave and double ovens, with plenty of space for preparing everything from breakfast before a day out to a relaxed dinner at home. The kitchen opens directly onto a fully private furnished courtyard, perfect for morning coffee, drinks or al fresco dining. A Smart TV, Bluetooth soundbar and dimmable lighting make the kitchen-diner another sociable space in which the whole group can gather. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS There are four spacious dedicated bedrooms: two with super king beds, one with a king bed and one twin room with two single beds. Premium Eve hybrid mattresses, cotton bed linen and blackout blinds help ensure a comfortable night's sleep. For groups of 9 or 10, the second sitting room provides the additional double sofa bed, creating a fifth private sleeping room. There are two modern family bathrooms. One has a walk-in dual rainfall shower and the other a bath with dual rainfall shower system. Cotton bath sheets, hand towels and bathrobes are provided. IDEAL FOR GROUP ESCAPES Hoe Park House works particularly well when you want the benefits of travelling together without having to divide your group between separate hotel rooms or apartments. There are several places to gather, as well as enough space to find a quiet corner when you want one. Families benefit from a highchair, travel cot on request and selected child-safety features. There's also a dedicated home-office space, high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, particularly useful for longer stays, families, golfers and those enjoying the great outdoors. One designated private parking space is included, with additional paid parking available nearby. GOLF, FISHING, COAST & COUNTRYSIDE For golfers, Hoe Park House makes an excellent base for exploring the varied courses around Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. Coastal, parkland and traditional Dartmoor courses are all within easy reach, allowing groups to play somewhere different each day while returning to the same comfortable base each evening. There's also plenty of room for golf clubs and equipment at the house. Plymouth and the surrounding coastline are also popular with anglers, with opportunities for shore and sea fishing and local boat trips. Beyond the city, you can explore Dartmoor National Park, the South West Coast Path and the beautiful Rame Peninsula in Cornwall. Closer to home, Plymouth Hoe, the Barbican, Sutton Harbour, the Mayflower Steps and waterfront are all within walking distance. For groups who want to combine days out with good food and evenings together, the location works particularly well. You can spend the day exploring, golfing, fishing or walking, then return to the house before heading out on foot for dinner and drinks.
