USAGE. "Fair usage policy'" applies for all utilities & services - eg. unreasonable includes leaving hot water running unnecessarily or heating system at high temperatures with doors/windows left open or hot tub uncovered when not in use! SYSTEM INTERFERENCE. Ambient heating temperatures are set at reasonably warm levels. Guests should not attempt to alter system's settings but can modify individual radiator thermostat valve settings to suit. [If too hot/cold, ask us to remotely change.] DAMAGE. Internal damage (eg. placing wet items on wood surfaces; taking liquids into bedrooms; sleeping on unmade beds; washing villa's bath / bed linen in mixed-colour batches) and missing items (eg. breakages, spillages/stains and missing items) are likely to be charged. WASTE. Sorting recyclable waste into appropriate bins and generally respectful waste disposal is expected (eg. no littering or careless discarding of cigarette butts). INFANT AGE. In common with airlines and holiday venues, children under 2 years old (occupying a travel cot) are considered infants. Beyond second birthday, we will make up full-size beds and therefore consider them equal to adult guests. MINIMUM BOOKING CRITERIA. Minimum age of guests = 25. Guest group size: 12 guests = Minimum; 26 = Maximum. Minimum number of nights = 3. (4-night min. during July&August plus over festive periods such as Christmas and Easter.) NO extra guests/visitors allowed on to property/premises without hosts' consent. RESPECT. We want everyone to enjoy a wonderful experience at 'Pleasant Hill'. The property remains a large FAMILY home in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Out of respect for neighbours, noise - including music - should be kept to a respectful level. Guests should socialise indoors from 2200hrs, closing all doors and windows, muting music and conversations to prevent disturbance to neighbours. As there are families with young children living close by or who may pass next to, at all times guests are expected to refrain from using loud or bad language. Anyone ignoring or disrespecting these house rules will initially BE asked to cease. Ultimately, though, repeated misbehaviour could result in being asked to immediately vacate without compensation. Responsible guests who respect our house rules have the best time and are most welcome. HOT TUB. Specific behaviour rules are applied to ensure safe and enjoyment and damage avoidance. These will include rules such as:- no drinks to be consumed in tub; no glass bottles nearby; no person to enter tub before removing all make-up and skin lotions/tans; no other articles to be taken into tub (eg. toys, garden games). The hot tub is serviced TWICE daily. There can be a modest additional charge for using the hot tub which we usually waive. For the avoidance of doubt, Pleasant Hill has an exclusive 7-person hot spa tub - ie. a heated pool NOT a swimming pool. PETS. Aligning with preferences expressed by majority of our guests, we regret PETS CANNOT be admitted to Pleasant Hill Scotland under any circumstances. AIRBNB EXPERIENCES. While Airbnb may offer third-party experiences such as chefs or wellness providers, please note these are not managed by Pleasant Hill Scotland. We’ve worked with trusted local partners for years and are happy to share recommendations upon request. Airbnb Services of any kind, including third-party bookings made through Airbnb’s Experiences platform, are not permitted on this property. Message us for curated suggestions instead. SELF-CATERING. Finally, please note. This is a self-catering property. Guests are expected to bring or replace whatever they will consume.
