Worthing is the Sussex seaside town that Brighton's crowds have not found: five miles of promenade, an Art Deco pier (Pier of the Year in 2019), a Victorian town centre with a growing restaurant scene, and the South Downs starting a mile inland at Cissbury Ring and Highdown. It is 1 hour 25 from London Victoria, 20 minutes from Brighton by train and 45 minutes from Gatwick.
