Bring it to the house
Group experiences at your house in Blaenffos and Boncath
These six travel to any house we list, Blaenffos and Boncath included. The host turns up with everything needed, so nobody has to book a table or a taxi.
Staying at Plas Pantyderi Manor? Give us the house and your dates when you ask for a quote and we’ll price it for that address, travel included.
Want something else? The full list is on our group experiences page, though some of those need a local venue, so check the area on each one.
Eating & drinking
Where to arrange group meals in Blaenffos and Boncath
We’d contact these venues directly with your full headcount, children’s ages and dietary needs. Several have clear larger-booking arrangements; at smaller pubs, ask whether one table or separate tables are realistic before fixing the evening.
The Ffynnone Arms, Newchapel
About ten minutes’ drive from the manor, this country pub serves food and publishes information about dietary options. We’d start with an enquiry for a nearby pub supper, asking what seating arrangement fits the party. Don’t assume the whole group can arrive without notice, and confirm current food service before booking your return transport.
The Nag’s Head, Abercych
Allow about fifteen minutes’ drive to this riverside country inn. Its website directs larger group bookings to the team by telephone or email, which makes it a strong starting point for a properly organised dinner. We’d discuss the menu, any pre-order and access requirements together, rather than leave individual guests to send separate requests.
The Salutation Inn, Felindre Farchog
About fifteen minutes’ drive from Plas Pantyderi, this coaching inn has a restaurant and a garden beside the River Nevern. We’d ask about a seated group lunch after a nearby outing. Confirm the dining space and current food arrangements directly; a garden beside the river is pleasant, but it isn’t an indoor reservation.
The Ferry Inn, St Dogmaels
Allow about twenty-five minutes’ drive to the estuary-side pub. Its booking page explicitly asks larger parties to telephone or email. We’d use that route to agree seating, any pre-order and the party’s access needs. Check which level you’ll use before paying a deposit, particularly if anyone struggles with steps.
GRAIN Cardigan
About twenty minutes’ drive away, this riverside pizza and craft-beer venue occupies the former Pizza Tipi site. Its substantial seating capacity and table-booking option make it worth enquiring about for an informal gathering. We’d still reserve the actual table arrangement and check whether an event changes the usual dining setup on your date.
The Teifi Waterside Hotel, Poppit
About thirty minutes’ drive from the manor, this hotel has a restaurant and spacious terraces near Poppit Sands. We’d enquire for a booked group meal after a coastal outing, with indoor seats agreed rather than relying on weather. Confirm the current menu and service for your date; seasonal restaurant information elsewhere can be inconsistent.
Menus, opening hours and group policies change — always confirm directly with the venue.
Things to do
Things to do in Blaenffos and Boncath for large groups
Choose an outing for your party and confirm any operator booking or access requirements.
Castell Cilgerran
About fifteen minutes’ drive away, the ruined castle overlooks the Teifi gorge. We’d choose it for a shorter history outing where the group can explore at its own pace. Cadw warns that towers may close at short notice, and the site has steep, uneven steps. Check current times and access information before making promises about the wall-walk.
Welsh Wildlife Centre and Teifi Marshes
Allow about twenty minutes’ drive to the visitor centre near Cilgerran. We’d keep the group quiet in hides and split into smaller parties if needed. Check current notices: the centre is scheduled to close for works from December 2026 until February 2027, although the reserve remains accessible. Confirm facilities separately from access to the trails.
Castell Henllys Iron Age Village
About fifteen minutes’ drive from the manor, the reconstructed roundhouses give a family group a shared subject to explore rather than simply another walk. We’d ask the national park team about group visits and any scheduled interpretation. Check current times, footwear advice and the route from the entrance, especially for anyone with limited mobility.
Dyfed Shire Horse Farm
Near Eglwyswrw, about fifteen minutes’ drive away, this working farm’s visitor attraction is a good candidate for a family outing with animal-loving children. Its operator confirms a 2026 visitor season. We’d contact the team about bringing a big group, check current times and accept that a working farm’s activities can depend on the day.
Cenarth Falls
About twenty minutes’ drive from Plas Pantyderi, the falls provide a shorter Teifi-valley outing with no need to make everyone complete a long walk. We’d agree a meeting point and let confident walkers go further separately. Keep children close beside the river and stay away from slippery rocks; this is a viewing stop, not a swimming recommendation.
Newcastle Emlyn Castle
Allow about twenty-five minutes’ drive to the castle ruins above a loop in the River Teifi. We’d combine a look around the site with time in town, rather than drive there expecting a staffed indoor attraction. The grass and exposed ruins suit independent exploring; agree a finish time and assess wet ground before taking less steady walkers around.
Check current tickets, group availability and access directly with the operator.

Practical tips for a big group in Blaenffos and Boncath
The big shop, getting around and the things worth sorting before everyone arrives.
Good to know
- Send drivers the manor’s Blaenffos and Boncath arrival details, including SA37 0JB. We’d ask the owner for the entrance instructions rather than follow a general Cardigan destination pin.
- Confirm parking and unloading arrangements for the whole party. Keep the drive clear while people arrive, and check minibus access before committing to a vehicle.
- Arrange groceries for the first evening before travelling. Ask the owner about delivery access and confirm the kitchen and dining arrangements for any caterer you want to bring in.
- Book dinner transport in both directions. Rural taxi availability needs planning, and a short drive doesn’t make an unlit lane a sensible walk home after drinking.
- Download booking confirmations and walking information. Give everyone the same physical meeting point so a missed message doesn’t leave part of the group waiting elsewhere.
- Pack waterproofs and suitable shoes, and keep a quieter indoor plan available. Collect mobility, allergy and dog requirements before choosing venues, then check current times shortly before travelling.
