Riverside bar, restaurant and inn in the centre of town. Modern British cooking with West Country produce, a pub menu Thursday–Saturday and Sunday roasts; a good-looking room that handles group bookings well. It's also an inn, so anyone in the party who fancies a night away from the farmhouse can book a room here directly.
The Bunch of Grapes
The town's oldest pub, now with a Michelin Guide listing and two AA rosettes. Pubby downstairs, restaurant upstairs — the upstairs room suits a group dinner with a bit of occasion. Given the rosettes, it's popular locally, so a table for a big party is worth requesting well ahead of your date.
The Swan Hotel
Church Street, two minutes from the station. Traditional pub-hotel with several dining areas, a Sunday carvery and, unusually, a well-rated Thai menu — an easy all-rounder for mixed tastes.
The Lock Inn
Canalside café-restaurant by the town lock, family-run since 1990. All-day breakfasts, pies and the famous "Canal Cream Tea"; great for a casual group lunch on the towpath, and it's licensed.

A magnificent 14th-century barn (free entry) with craft shops and a tearoom, and riverside meadows that are ideal for a group picnic or gentle wander.
Kennet & Avon Canal walk to Avoncliff
Flat, easy 30-minute towpath walk to the Avoncliff Aqueduct, where the canal crosses the river — with a pub stop at the far end before you amble back.
Day-boat hire on the canal
Narrowboat day hire is available from bases in and around Bradford-on-Avon (Wiltshire Narrowboats and Black Prince both operate here); pootling towards Bath over the aqueducts is a brilliant group day.
A day in Bath
The city is 15 minutes away by direct train, so the whole group can do the Roman-era sights, shopping and spa scene without anyone driving.
Cycle the towpath
The canal path towards Bath is flat and traffic-free, good for a mixed-ability group ride.
Longleat Safari Park

- Sainsbury's has a superstore at Elm Cross, Rowden Lane, on the edge of town, and there's a Tesco Extra and Asda in Trowbridge ten minutes away for the biggest shops.
- Bradford-on-Avon station is right in the town centre with direct trains to Bath and Bristol — often easier than parking a convoy in Bath.
- Taxis exist but are limited; pre-book for station runs and nights out.
- Beeches Farmhouse has 12 parking spaces on site, so a big group can arrive in convoy without worrying about street parking in town.
- Two of the three cottages and four of the five en-suite rooms at Beeches Farmhouse are dog-friendly (charges apply), with open fields behind the farm for exercising dogs off the lead.
- Check-in at Beeches Farmhouse is from 4pm and check-out 11am, with a two-night minimum stay — worth building into your travel plans and the first night's food shop.
- The town centre itself is small and largely walkable, so once the cars are parked at the farmhouse a night out in Bradford-on-Avon doesn't need anyone to drive.
